Owned and operated by Howard and Linda Dix, the farm was established in the year 2000 and promises to remain a strong and viable part of the local community far into the future. With support from many other farms in the Northeast, Summerhill has quickly become a name that is well known and respected among alpaca breeders nationwide. Their commitment to high-quality beautiful alpacas is second only to the love of their herd, as evidenced by the honors awarded in such a short time.

What an incredible show season! After netting a first, color champion and first in best bred and owned at the Big E, Magnum went on to Empire. There he won a blue, reserve champion and best bred and owned. The next week saw Magnum at home in Vermont at the GMFAS. He came home with five banners/ribbons including the judges choice. First in his class, color champion. He also received first for his fiber entry as well as champion and best crimp award. Finally at NECC, yet another blue and color champion!
He is alvailable now for selected breedings and will most certainly be back in the show rings next year. |
